busy busy busy and now you want food?

OK so the kids are whining the kitchen is cluttered and laundry is in the machine (or piled high). As if you don't have enough to do, now it's dinner time. OR you've been working or have been out and about all day, you are exhausted and are feeling kinda whiny yourself and need to eat something. Soon.
I know one of these sounds familiar, at least some of the time! I want your fastest recipes (anyone and everyone who reads this will benefit so don't be shy)! Ok I love the crockpot plan ahead recipes, the pull out the meat the day before recipes, ( i will want those too in time) but right now I want your, dinner's in 20 or 30,  I forgot to plan ahead recipes. I will share my favorite but I want yours too.
Ok I like to make wraps in a hurry.
Flour tortillas
bacon (cook it- you can even nuke it)
sandwich meat, or leftover chicken
lettuce (we have switched to cabbage recently)
cucumber
cheese
any other veggies on hand
ranch
bbq sauce

mix some ranch and bbq together to make a new sauce. spread a bit on tortilla then layer up your goods and roll like a burro, leaving one end open.
See I told you it was fast!! Now most of you may have already thought of this but I had to share something, so now need your fastest ideas. Oh and one disclaimer, Chris hates breakfast for dinner (I know), otherwise I would have listed french toast or something. But biscuits and gravy has somehow been acceptable and come up as a quick fix before.

Thanks!

How funny! Cameron hates breakfast for dinner too but doesn't mind biscuits and gravy. Let's see, almost everything I make is a 30 minute things 'cause I haven't learned to enjoy cooking yet. I make Hawaiian haystacks by just throwing some rice in my rice cooker. Then I open up a can of chicken chunks and put it with a can of cream of chicken soup. You can cut up celery or other stuff but I just thrown on some pineapples and those crunchy noodles. And that's it! Cameron loves it!

Okay - so this is how I trick James into thinking that I spent hours slaving over the stove. It usually just takes long enough for me to cook the noodles and chicken - which is 15-20 mins.

Cajun chicken alfredo (any noodles)

Frozen chicken tenderloins defrosted in microwave and diced.
Boil noodles (usually I make a whole box of penne noodles)
put chicken in a skillet with a tablespoon of butter or oil. Salt, Pepper, and some 'cajun' spice. (You can find it at Walmart) Keep it on medium heat so that it doesn't cook too fast and just toss the chicken occasionally.

While the chicken cooks and the noodles boil:

Alfredo Sauce(takes about 5 mins to make.. so I usually wait until everything is about halfway):

1/4 c butter
1 tablespoon of flour (as a note if you use 'selfrising' flour... it makes this stuff get really light and yummy - but you have to keep stirring!)
1 1/2 (or so) cup of regular milk.
1/4 c parmesan cheese

melt butter - add flour - add milk, let boil and after it's boiling add parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and some more Cajun spice (to taste). let it all kind of melt together in the sauce and you're finished!

When everything is ready just stir it all together and enjoy!

I usually have some bread and garlic spread around because it's James's favorite so I will just make some garlic bread under the broiler and then serve with a cabbage salad. :)

It's James's ABSOLUTE favorite meal and he honestly thinks it takes me hours to do...
